Brown Ledge is known as one of the most complete camps. It excels in the equipment and facilities required by its wide and varied activity program. To surmise our facilities in brief, we provide 38 school and show horses , three riding arenas, fine stabling , five clay tennis courts , an archery range  with a large selection of equipment, rifle rangearts and crafts workshop, sailing fleet which includes windsurfing equipment, ski and motor boats, water-skis, and wakeboards, two diving platforms  and a diving springboard, canoes, touring and playboat kayaks, and a complete theatre with arena  and proscenium stage seating over 250 people.

Cabins

cabin

Brown Ledge girls live in attractively designed log-type cabins, each housing four or five campers. The cabin is their’s to take care of, to decorate, to entertain their friends, to enjoy. Girls who require hotel accommodations will not care for brown ledge. The cabins are in no way elaborate. Each has electric lights, is equipped with the essentials of restful sleep and cleanliness, and is screened.

There is a main bathhouse containing showers with plenty of warm water and changing area, wash basins, and modern flush toilets. The bathhouse was rebuilt in 2004.

Dining Hall

facilities

Our dining hall sits in the center of camp. We meet three times a day to eat our meals together within our Adirondack style dining room. Our dining hall was replaced in 2001. At that time we enlarged the space and added a second floor. Now our dining hall offers a comfortable environment to eat our meals, family-style and is a space that we use for meetings, play rehearsals, and evening activities.

Our meals are prepared by a kitchen staff that makes it their priority that we have well-balanced meals to keep us going through a busy Brown Ledge Day. Our kitchen is inspected every summer by the State of Vermont.

Infirmary

First, and foremost, our infirmary is staffed by two registered nurses. Our nurses provide first aid care, dispense medication, and assess injuries and illnesses for additional care outside of camp. Our infirmary is equipped to provide basic medical care. In addition, it houses emergency equipment such as an AED and epi-pens.
